George Clooney Announces “Hope for Haiti” Performers

BREAKING!At the 67th Annual Golden Globes, George Clooney said his “Hope for Haiti” telethon to benefit those devastated by the earthquake, will feature performances by Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys, Bono, Christina Aguilera and Sting.
Additionally, more than 40 stars are expected to participate in the January 22 fundraiser. The benefit’s purpose is “to show the people of Haiti that the whole world is paying attention,” Clooney explained to the Associated Press.
The New York-based event, co-hosted by Clooney and Haitian-born Wyclef Jean, will be broadcast on more than a dozen stations with Anderson Cooper reporting in from from Haiti.
The fundraiser will benefit the Red Cross, Partners in Health, Oxfam America, UNICEF, and Wyclef Jean’s Yele Haiti Foundation.
Additionally, music performed during the event will be available on iTunes. Proceeds from he sales will go to the relief effort.
