Gavin Rossdale Sets Record Straight About Fling with Another Man

Gavin Rossdale is now setting the record straight about a long-rumored relationship he once had with another man.

The singer tells Details magazine in an exclusive interview that his liaison with cross-dressing pop star Marilyn was just a one-time fling.

Boy George first made the claim about Rossdale and Marilyn in his autobiography, “Take It Like A Man,” back in 1995, and Marilyn himself last year alleged having a five-year relationship with Rossdale.

The Bush rocker, however, previously ignored the claims.

Now Rossdale comes clean and explains why. “I think at the outset there was a sort of fear – that was right at the beginning of Bush, and I didn’t want it to be part of it,” he says.

He denies it was a long-term relationship, but admits, “When you’re 17, Jesus Christ. I don’t think there’s anything strange about any form of – you’re learning about life. You have to know what you like, and I know what I like.”

What Rossdale (more than) likes is his wife Gwen Stefani, whom he married in 2002, and with whom he has two sons.

What do you think about the singer’s admission of a one-time fling with another man?

Good for you Gavin! sexuality is so fluid. Whether he had an affair with a man or not, it has no baring on what kind of man he is now or was then. Good for him for standing up and living in honesty. Gwen you have a wonderful, openminded, stand-up kinda guy. Rock on!!

    agreed,
I still don’t understand how backwards many Americans are when it comes to sex and sexuality. I think Americans are far more accepting of violence than any sexual behavior or belief that skews from the “norm”, whatever that is. . Gavin was 17, experimented, and found he prefers women. Or perhaps more simply, he prefers his wife. If they ever divorced, who knows, maybe he’d end up with a guy again. But more importantly, why do we care??? Let him be. He’s a wonderful dad and husband from what I can see, and that’s all that should really matter.
