Gary Oldman And Fourth Wife Alexandra Edenborough Divorcing After Secret Separation — Blames 20-Year Age Gap
Gary Oldman and Alexandra Edenborough are divorcing, Gossip Cop confirms. What’s more, we’re told the stars have been secretly separated for more than a year.
In a statement furnished to Gossip Cop by the actor’s rep, Oldman says, “Alex and I had several great years together, and we shared a great love during that time; but there is big difference in our ages and ultimately that gap inevitably revealed different lifestyle interests. While I have been sad about this for over a year, I am grateful for the good times we did have, and we remain friends. Of course I wish Alex the best happiness in the future.”
Oldman and Edenborough, a singer-songwriter 20 years his junior, wed in 2008. The nuptials marked Oldman’s fourth marriage. He and Edenborough were last photographed on a red carpet together in January 2014. Speaking to The Independent in an interview published the next month, Oldman said, “Practice makes perfect. Isn’t that what they say? I’m not proud that this is my fourth marriage. But this is a good one. Hopefully, my last one.”
Unfortunately, it didn’t work out, and while Gossip Cop is officially told the exes “remain on warm, friendly terms” and want an “amicable divorce,” we also hear there has been some strife. Edenborough’s divorce filing, in which she cites inreconcilable differences and asks for spousal support and attorneys’ fees, was first reported by RadarOnline.
