Gary Coleman spends birthday pleading guilty in court today

Gary Coleman spent his 42nd birthday today in court, pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence criminal mischief.

The plea stems froma domestic violence incident last April in Santaquin, Utah.

While the judge sentenced Coleman to 31 and a half days in jail, the “Diff’rent Strokes” star can avoid time behind bars if he completes a domestic violence course and pays a $595 fine.

Before the hearing began, Coleman said, “I’ve been in better places on my birthday.”
