Gaby Diaz was once again the standout performer on Monday’s “So You Think You Can Dance,” this time paired with Robert Roldan for a breathtaking contemporary routine. Check out the video below!

For the second week in a row, all the contestants had to work with the show’s “All-Stars.” Diaz and Roldan, who placed third in season 7, were tasked with embodying “fear of the unknown” and the comfort needed to overcome it. And there was no better music for the dance than Sarah McLachlan’s “Angel” with the lyrics, “You’re in the arms of the angel/May you find some comfort here.”

Diaz and Roldan’s movements were every bit as graceful as they were moving, and they received a standing ovation. Of course, most of the attention was on Diaz, since she’s the one actually in the competition, and Nigel Lythgoe told her, “To say that is in a class of its own tonight is not actually telling how absolutely brilliant you were.” Lythgoe went on to call the performance “outstanding,” and noted that while many may want her as a choreographer, Diaz should definitely “become a star first.”

Paula Abdul gushed, “This performance, you were world class. Completely. Unequivocally. One million percent…. There is not one thing you could’ve done more perfectly than you performance tonight.” And Jason Derulo said to Diaz, “Gaby, you’re not missing anything. You just get it. And stars get it.”

Derulo continued, “I think I saw it from the very, very beginning but you’ve become something that surpassed from what I thought. If we count your standing ovations on this show, we’d be counting all night long.” Indeed, Diaz has been the season 12 frontrunner since the auditions. Watch the new performance with Roldan below!
