Full House Unauthorized TV Movie To Air On Lifetime
“Full House,” which is getting a spinoff series on Netflix, will also be the subject of an unauthorized TV movie on Lifetime, it was announced on Monday. Similar to last year’s Unauthorized Saved By The Bell Story, the new Lifetime TV movie will recreate the behind-the-scenes happenings of the show as well as give fans an inside look at the cast of “Full House” and how they all became close friends.
Casting for what’s being titled Unauthorized Full House Story is expected to begin shortly, though Lifetime has yet to announce an air date. Rob McGee, who penned the “Saved By the Bell” TV movie for Lifetime, is expected to write the “Full House” one as well.
As Gossip Cop previously reported, Netflix announced earlier this month that it was going ahead with a “Full House” spinoff, titled “Fuller House.” The 13-episode series will focus on Candace Cameron-Bure’s character D.J. Tanner as she raises her children following her husband’s death. Jodie Sweetin will also reprise her role as Stephanie Tanner, and Andrea Barber will return as D.J.’s best friend Kimmy Gibbler. Several of the show’s other stars are currently negotiating with Netflix about reprising their roles on “Fuller House.” Will you watch Lifetime’s Unauthorized Full House Story?
