Stars Celebrate Friday The 13th – See Celebrity Tweets! (PHOTO)
Stars are celebrating Friday the 13th, a day considered by many superstitious people to be bad luck, but not by these celebrities. See reactions below!
Ellen DeGeneres joked, “It’s Friday the 13th! I don’t believe in superstitions, but I did give my gardener a hockey mask to whack the bushes out front.” An excited Vanessa Hudgens tweeted, “It’s Friday the 13th!! Let’s get weird.” Nicky Hilton admitted she almost forgot about the date, but then posted a ghost emoji along with the caption, “Just realized it is Friday the 13th.”
“Dancing with the Stars” host Tom Bergeron tweeted, “Happy Friday the 13th. Nothing to worry about. Then again, just in case, you might try this…” He then linked to an article suggesting that if one could correctly pronounce “paraskevidekatriaphobia,” which is the definition of having a fear of Friday the 13th, they would be immune to bad luck. Meanwhile, Interview with the Vampire author Anne Rice asked, “So it’s Friday the 13th. Does that worry you? Why?”
Ozzy Osbourne posted a graphic photo (see below) of himself alongside a fake bloody corpse. At least, Gossip Cop hopes it’s fake. Vera Farmiga, who’s currently filming The Conjuring 2, posted a photo of what appears to be her face melting off. She captioned it, “Happy Friday the 13th! The Conjuring is breaking me down.” Co-star Patrick Wilson tweeted back, “A little Neosporin should do the trick.”
And finally, Donald Trump used the day as an opportunity to slam Ben Carson. The Republican presidential candidate tweeted a new campaign video featuring footage from an old interview with Carson in which he talks about trying to stab his friend as a teenager. The video then cuts to a former neighbor of Carson’s who suggests the story may be untrue. It should be noted that Trump’s entire campaign video is set to the creepy theme song from the Friday the 13th movies.
Gossip Cop will update as more stars celebrate Friday the 13th.
