The rapper was asked by Billboard about the increased attention surrounding him in recent months, and he replied, “I want to capitalize on it.” “I’ll get a fan base from everywhere,” continued Montana. “I just hope I’ll be able to connect with everything that’s going on.”
It wasn’t explicitly clear that the performer was saying he wanted to “capitalize” on Kardashian’s fame, but that’s how many people on social media took the comments. In fact, in the same article, Montana went on to discuss “the platform they got me on.” He also noted that Kardashian warned him that some people “will spread negative energy if they can; don’t let it get to you.”
Early Sunday morning, Kardashian embraced that mantra, and seemingly addressed the criticism. “It’s amusing to me that Y’all think I don’t see it. I was the first one to see it. I just don’t care,” wrote Kardashian.
As Gossip Cop previously reported, Kardashian just appeared in French Montana’s “Don’t Panic” music video, and their romance is spotlighted on this week’s “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
What do you think of the couple’s remarks?
