Fred Willard: It “Did Not Happen,” Lewd Conduct Arrest Was “Misunderstanding”

Fred Willard has spoken out for the first time since being busted for allegedly masturbating in an adult movie theater on Wednesday night — and he calls the incident a big “misunderstanding.”

A TMZ cameraman caught Willard on his way into (and out of) his lawyer’s office in Los Angeles on Thursday, and, when asked about his lewd conduct arrest, Willard described it as a “difference of opinion” that’s “all being straightened out.”
The actor says it’s a “strange situation” but that it “did not happen” as reported.
While PBS fired Willard from his “Market Warriors” job, Gossip Cop has learned that all episodes of Willard’s ABC show “Trust Us With Your Life” have been shot and will air as scheduled.
