Fred Willard May NOT Be Prosecuted for Alleged Lewd Conduct

Fred Willard reportedly has a shot at NOT being prosecuted for his alleged lewd conduct in Hollywood earlier this week.

The Anchorman actor was arrested on Wednesday night after vice cops busted him for allegedly masturbating in the Tiki Theater.

But now TMZ is reporting that the Los Angeles City Attorney is prepared to drop the matter if Willard enrolls in an “alternative prosecution program” — essentially, a two-week course related to obeying the laws Willard is purported to have violated.

As of now, it’s not been confirmed whether Willard — who calls the situation a “big misunderstanding” — will accept the reported arrangement.

In the wake of his arrest, PBS fired Willard from his “Market Warriors” job.
