Foo Fighters Sing Against Westboro Baptist Church Protesters [VIDEO]

The Westboro Baptist Church came to protest a Foo Fighters concert in Kansas City last night – but got one-upped by Dave Grohl and the rest of the band.

Earlier this month, WBC bigots announced their intentions to picket the show, accusing Foo Fighters of using their position to promote “fornication, adultery, idolatry, f*gs,” instead of “using it to encourage obedience to God.”

But before the concert, the band surprised everyone by pulling up outside the Sprint Center on a flatbed, performing as their trucker characters from the recent homoerotic “Hot Buns” video.

Grohl took a moment to announce his support for diversity.

“I don’t care if you’re black or white or purple or green. Whether you’re Pennsylvanian or Transylvanian, Lady Gaga or Lady Antebellum,” he tells the crowd. “Men loving women and women loving men, and men loving men and women loving women, you all know we like to watch that. God Bless America, y’all!”

    the WBC are so classy. can’t you just imagine jesus describing people as “fags”? what these religious zealots seem to fail to understand is that they’re the exact people that jesus would shun, preferring the downtrodden and sinners. they really ought to read the bible they so often attest to following.

    Hell isn’t hot enough for the WBC but I still hope they go there. I think the Foo have the right idea…drown them out with music. In fact, I think musical groups and high school/college bands should go play outside their homes and church 24/7. I still have a hard time believing our government have given these haters the right to protest funerals…what about the rights of the families to give their loved ones a dignified funeral in peace? Why doesn’t that take precedence? What in the world has happened to our country?!

    Kudos to the members of Foofighters for one , fighting back to the WBC creeps. Plus Foofighters standing up for diversity, equality, tolerance, acceptance. The WBC seems not to believe in what Jesus said to love one another as I have you.
