FKA Twigs Makes American TV Debut On Tonight Show – WATCH VIDEO!
FKA Twigs performed on “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Tuesday. It was the singer’s American TV debut. The British star sang “Two Weeks.” Twigs performed in a gold breastplate, while silver and peach-colored fabrics flew around her, thanks to a handful of fans place on the stage’s floor. Fallon called her performance “mesmerizing” earlier in the show, and then afterwards said, “I’ve never seen anything like that before” (video below).
Twigs is fresh off her European tour, which concluded last month. She’s now in the United States for a slew of dates for the North American leg of her tour, which is to support her debut full-length album LP1 that came out in September. Twigs will perform in Washington D.C. on Thursday, and then wind her way across the country, up north into Canada, and then back down to Miami for her last show on December 4.
Twigs was actually already in Canada this week. As Gossip Cop reported, she was spotted with boyfriend Robert Pattinson in Toronto, who was in town to film the new movie Idol’s Eye, but the shoot was unexpectedly canceled at the last minute due to financial issues. Pattinson had spent a decent portion of October accompanying FKA Twigs on her European tour dates. The couple, who were first linked over the summer, weren’t shy about showing PDA as they traveled to Paris, Brussels, Denmark and other locales.
Pattinson, of course, is no stranger to appearing on late-night television with Fallon, who previously hosted “Late Night.” Fallon has infamously, but affectionately spoofed Pattinson in his “Bothered” sketches, in which he pretends to be the brooding actor being “bothered” by innocuous things like Christmas shopping and Thanksgiving.
