FKA Twigs Nominated For Four Libera Awards

FKA Twigs was nominated for four Libera Awards, popularly known as the The LIBBYs, it was announced on Tuesday. Twigs received nominations for Video of the Year (“Two Weeks”), Groundbreaking Album of the Year (LP1), Best Sync Usage (“Video Girl”), and Album of the Year (LP1).

In addition to receiving widespread critical acclaim, FKA Twigs’ debut album LP1 has previously been nominated for a Mercury Award, as well as a Grammy for Best Recording Package. Her ethereal brand of music has also landed LP1 on several Album of the Year lists.

The news of FKA Twigs’ nominations for four Libera Awards comes on the heels of her first red carpet appearance with fiancee Robert Pattinson. As Gossip Cop reported, the couple attended the Met Gala on Monday, with the musician wearing a Christopher Kane dress that had a print of different colored body parts, including a fuchsia penis.

The Libera Awards, now in their fourth year, are handed out by the American Association Of Independent Music in recognition of “extraordinary achievements by independent labels and artists,” and are voted on by members of the independent music community.
