Despite the original having been released more than a decade ago, Finding Dory picks up six months after the events of the first movie, and sees previously amnesic fish Dory (DeGeneres) embarking on a journey to find her long-lost family after she regains her memory. In addition to the ocean, much of the movie will be set at the California Marine Biology Institute, the aquarium where Dory was born and raised.
The latest trailer features the return of many characters from the first movie, as well as the introduction of a whole new array of marine life. The voice cast of the animated Disney sequel also includes Albert Brooks, Idris Elba, Diane Keaton, Michael Sheen, Eugene Levy, Dominic West, Ty Burrell, Kaitlin Olson and Ed O’Neill. Finding Dory is set to be released on June 17, 2016.
If you want to see the visually impressive and expertly animated trailer on the big screen, it will be attached to Disney’s Zootopia, which hits theaters on Friday. In the meantime, watch the brand new trailer below!
