Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy NOT Being Condensed Into One Film, Despite Rumor
The Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy is NOT being “condensed” into one movie, despite a wrong rumor picked up by dubious outlets.
On Monday, webloids like HollywoodLife and Perez Hilton ran with a report that claimed E L James’ best-selling erotic novels would be pared down to fit into a single feature film.
“The movie script has condensed the entire trilogy into just one story,” wrote Hilton, citing a supposed “statement” from the production company and rumored filming plans for parts of the third book as “evidence” for the suspect claim.
It’s NOT true.
Universal has repeatedly stated that the upcoming big screen movie is an adaptation of James’ first book in the series.
Like with any franchise, future installments are dependent upon box office results and other factors, and no decision has been made about whether Fifty Shades sequels will be produced.
When there is actual news regarding the future of the series, Gossip Cop will be sure to have it.
