Fetty Wap In Motorcycle Accident
Fetty Wap was in a motorcycle accident on Saturday, and the extent of his injuries is unclear.
The rapper was riding his motorcycle in Paterson, New Jersey, which is hometown, when the incident occurred. He was reportedly attempting to pass a vehicle in front of him, but went into the left lane without seeing there was another auto coming in the opposite direction. Wap, riding a Suzuki, and the other vehicle collided.
Emergency personnel was called to the scene, and photos show Wap sitting up, seemingly conscious, and receiving oxygen. He was secured on a stretcher and then taken away by ambulance to a local hospital. There is no indication yet how serious any injuries may be.
Nothing has been said as to whether the star’s limited eyesight potentially played a role, or if he was wearing a helmet. Born Willie Maxwell, Wap developed glaucoma as a child and lost his left eye. He received a prosthesis, but generally does not wear it.
The scary incident comes just one day after the release of Wap’s debut album, which has been receiving critical acclaim. He’s in the midst of a breakout year thanks to the success of his hit single, “Trap Queen.” The song peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100.
In the hours before the accident, Wap was heavily promoting his new record on Twitter. He had an album release party in New Jersey on Friday night. While disturbing photos of the incident are being circulated on social media, we will NOT be posting them. Gossip Cop will have updates.
