Fergie Raps In New Comeback Song – Watch Music Video Teaser!
Fergie teased her comeback song, along with a trippy music video, on Friday. Watch below!
On both Twitter and Instagram, Fergie posted a message that reads, “3… 2… 1…” The tweet was accompanied by a 20-second video, while on Instagram, there’s a much longer version. And the clip features the music star rapping a new song.
“To say it’s complicated understatement of the year,” Fergie spits. “Well maybe conflict made that flavor in your ear.” She goes on, “They know that I’m a problem, that’s why everybody stares. Whatever doesn’t kill you can make you a billionaire.” As the song continues, the star raps about being the “illest.”
Shot entirely in black and white, the video begins with a close-up of an eyeball. It features Fergie cutting her own hair, and digital effects that make it look like her body is disjointed. She’s joined by dancers whose bodies are also subject to mind-bending moves.
The song’s surprise teaser comes the same day Fergie is slated to perform at the Rock In Rio music festival. The show is also expected to feature Queen, Adam Lambert and Mika. And with more gigs lined up for this summer, it seems like Fergie’s long-awaited and long-delayed second solo album may finally be coming out, 10 years after The Duchess. Check out the new song and video below!
