Felicity Jones ‘SNL’ Monologue – WATCH VIDEO
Felicity Jones opened her “SNL” monologue by talking about her role in Rogue One. She then got help from some of the movie’s characters, who offered her advice about hosting the comedy show. Tina Fey even made a cameo. See the video below of Jones’s “Saturday Night Live” monologue.
This marks Jones’s debut as the host of “Saturday Night Live.” The actress’s appearance on the sketch comedy show comes after the recent release of her film Rogue One. As Gossip Cop has previously reported, the standalone Star Wars film has been a huge box office success, having won several weekends in a row, and even becoming the second highest-gross film of 2016, even though it was released just days before the end of the year.
Not surprisingly, a number of Jones’s promos for “SNL” were related to Star Wars. In one, she was even asked to say, “May the Force be with you.” Jones now joins a long line of other Star Wars stars to have hosted “Saturday Night Live,” including Carrie Fisher, Natalie Portman, Liam Neeson, Adam Driver and Samuel L. Jackson.
Though she was a professional actress since she was a kid, it was only in the last few years that Jones has emerged as a star. Most notably before Rogue One, Jones was nominated for an Oscar and Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of Stephen Hawking’s wife Jane in The Theory Of Everything.
