Jimmy Kimmel New York Fashion Week 2014

Jimmy Kimmel duped supposed fashion devotees into gushing about designer collections that do not exist on Wednesday’s New York Fashion Weekedition of “Lie Witness News.” The talk show host explained, “Tomorrow is the last day of Fashion Week and the city is overflowing with fashionistas from all over the world. We did this last year, and it went so well, we decided to do it again.”

Kimmel sent a crew to Lincoln Center, where some of the runways shows were held, to question fashion week attendees about designers, trends and events that do not exist. “And even though all the designer names you are about to hear were made up by us,” he explained. “That did not stop these fashion aficionados from giving their opinions of them.”

A correspondent for “Jimmy Kimmel Live” asked attendees about fictional runways shows from various “lesser known designers,” including “Chandler Bing,” “Betsy Ross,” “Bartles & Jaymes” and “Phil Robertson.” Kimmel’s interviewer also asked people about Heidi Klum’s “faceplant” at Alexander Wang, which never happened, as well as their thoughts on a new “headless dress.” Check out the funny video here, and tell us what you think!
