Fans React: Tamron Hall Leaving NBC
Tamron Hall is leaving NBC News and MSNBC, it was announced Wednesday. Fans are now reacting to the news on Twitter. See reactions below.
The anchor, who co-hosted the 9 a.m. hour of the “Today” show, decided not to renegotiate her contract with the network. The news comes on the heels of Megyn Kelly signing on to host a morning show on NBC. “Yesterday was her last day as an anchor on both networks,” reads a statement released by NBC News. “Tamron is an exceptional journalist, we valued and enjoyed her work at ‘Today’ and MSNBC and hoped that she would decide to stay. We are disappointed that she has chosen to leave, but we wish her all the best.”
In a statement of her own, Hall expressed, “The last 10 years have been beyond anything I could have imagined, and I’m grateful,” Hall, 46, said in a statement released via the network. “I’m also very excited about the next chapter. To all my great colleagues, I will miss you and I will be rooting for you.” Hall joined MSNBC and NBC in 2007 and began co-hosting the third hour of “Today” in 2014.
