Faith Hill, Tim McGraw Tour To Save Marriage?
“Faith & Tim’s Make Or Break Tour,” reads a headline in the current edition of Star. It’s said the couple are “heading out on their first joint tour in a decade come April 2017 — not for the fans or the fame but to salvage what’s left of their 20-year marriage.” A so-called “pal” is quoted as saying, “A year ago, no one thought they were even going to make it to their next anniversary — that’s how bad they were fighting.”
The supposed friend continues, “It’s been tough, but they both want to put the spark back into their relationship.” And so, the magazine claims Hill and McGraw are “hoping to rekindle the passion by performing onstage.” Adds the alleged source, “They’ve tried everything from date nights to couples counseling, to no avail. But there’s nothing like a love song. This tour could do wonders for their marriage.”
And some fact-checking could do wonders for the publication’s accuracy level. Hill and McGraw’s marriage is not in need of saving. This is an entirely false premise that the tabloid has been spreading for years. Back in April, for instance, Star published a whole cover story wrongly alleging the couple was “living separate lives” and there was a “$135 million fortune at stake” in their supposed divorce.
But Hill and McGraw are clearly still together, so now the magazine isn’t admitting its information was erroneous, but making up for an excuse for it: The couple isn’t going on tour because they love one another and enjoy touring together as they have in years past, but because it’s the only way to save their marriage. Please. It’s Star’s reporting that’s in desperate need of saving. Check out some of the tabloid’s made-up Hill and McGraw covers below.
