Faith Hill and Tim McGraw NOT Headed for “$135 Million Divorce,” Despite Report
Faith Hill and Tim McGraw are headed for a “$135 Million Divorce,” says the new issue of Star — which claimed the exact same thing six months ago. In December, the tabloid ran a cover story declaring Hill and McGraw were getting a divorce. It was completely false.
This week, Star reached into the recycle bin, and didn’t even bother to change the dollar amount. The magazine fills its new cover story with much of the same sensationalism — alleged fights, big boozing, supposed ultimatums, and mean-spirited declarations like a “source” labeling Hill a “controlling psycho.”
The supposed new detail is the tabloid’s claim that Hill has now “taken control of the couple’s assets” after McGraw had a “secret” alcohol-related crash near their home back in 2008 (yes, six years ago). Star has a so-called “insider” quoted as saying Hill “ambushed Tim with an ultimatum: He had to straighten himself out — and sign control of all their assets, including royalties and property, over to Faith — or else.” “Tim couldn’t even buy a cat now without first checking with her,” adds the “insider.”
The story goes on to also claim that Hill has alienated McGraw from his friends and those who worked for him, as part of her “control.” What the article doesn’t mention, of course, is Hill and McGraw both mocked and slammed the tabloid for its outrageously wrong stories. It’s all really nasty. And still false. Regardless, a rep for the couple says Star’s newest story is NOT TRUE.
