A few days ago, HollywoodLife made-up a fake news story about Brad Pitt’s Father’s Day plans, which the often discredited site asserted included the actor and his six kids having a “paintball war,” “skateboarding competition,” and barbecue. As Gossip Cop rightly reported a few days, the tale was completely fabricated by the webloid. Fast forward to Father’s Day, and now that article’s claims have totally blown up in the site’s face.

On Friday, HollywoodLies, as it has become known, alleged it had inside information about Pitt’s plan to “spoil his kids on Father’s Day.” As it often does, the site concocted a so-called “source,” who said Pitt was going to spend Sunday “just laughing and playing with his kids.” “He’s planning a whole day of events including an epic paintball war and a skateboarding competition,” and he was going to have his children help him with a big BBQ.

But like so many stories with unnamed sources on that repeatedly disproven site, it was 100 percent a lie. Gossip Cop works nearly every day with people connected to Pitt and Angelina Jolie, and from what we’ve gathered HollywoodLies seemingly has no real insiders. Instead, it appears based on how insanely inaccurate the outlet is, that the webloid just manufactures fake news to dupe search engines and readers.

Remember, HollywoodLies is the same outlet that Gossip Cop busted for falsely reporting that Pitt was dating Kate Hudson. It’s also the same site that last month made up the fake news story about Pitt was getting back together with Jolie. And there are dozens of more examples on Gossip Cop of us nailing that outlet for manufacturing phony articles. Thankfully for Gossip Cop and horrifically for HollywoodLife, over time readers can see who prints facts and who makes up fictitious accounts about celebrities.

Now, it’s Father’s Day. So, is Pitt playing paintball or watching his kids skateboard, as he fires up the grill? Contrary to the bogus story posted by HollywoodLies, Pitt is not with his children on Father’s Day. In fact, Jolie and the couple’s six kids were photographed on Saturday flying out of Los Angeles.

But rather than acknowledging that it got caught in a lie once again, the webloid simply pretended on Sunday that it hadn’t published its fake news story just two days ago. Instead, the untrustworthy blog featured photos of the children leaving L.A. and disingenuously wrote, “We wonder what Brad thinks of his kids being away from him on the holidays.”

The truth is HollywoodLies has no idea what Pitt thinks about his kids not being around for Father’s Day. But Gossip Cop can almost guarantee the site will pull a phony source out of nowhere within the next 24 hours, and quote that nonexistent “insider” as saying all sorts of bull about Pitt being depressed he didn’t spend Father’s Day with his children. We’ve said it before, and we ask our readers to spread the word: If you wants facts, you’ve got Gossip Cop. If you don’t mind being fooled by fiction, there are a lot of other sites out there, including HollywoodLife.
