“Dancing with the Stars” is just days away from announcing its season 19 cast, and Peta Murgratroyd has one dream celebrity partner she’d love to see on the ballroom floor. “John Stamos. I wouldn’t mind a bit of him,” Murgatroyd tells Gossip Cop exclusively. “That would be great. He would be awesome.”

The pro, who won 2012’s season 14 with Donald Driver, goes on to acknowledge, however, that it’ll be “hard to top” the season she had earlier this year with the “amazing” James Maslow.

She and the Big Time Rush singer placed fourth, with many fans believing they unfairly got the boot over Candace Cameron Bure and Mark Ballas. Murgatroyd confesses, “I did, too. I really did.” “It’s a heavily fan-based show,” concedes the Aussie dancer. “It’s a popularity contest at the end of the day. Whoever has the most fans is gonna win.” She goes on, “Lots of great dancers get knocked out early. That’s just the name of the game.”

Muragtroyd and Maslow also had fans wondering if they were more than friends… or simply putting on a “showmance” for the sake of the series. But the former champ tells Gossip Cop emphatically, “I would never fake a romance.” “There’s no point. I don’t have the energy to put out, to actually act that out. So whatever you see is real,” continues Murgatroyd.

She adds, “There was a lot of great energy between us, a lot of sexual chemistry.” So, were they or weren’t they? “There’s a lot of people speculating about that, but I like to keep my private life private,” Murgatroyd demurs.

Murgatroyd’s new celebrity partner will be revealed on September 4, in advance of the show’s September 17 season premiere. Who would you like to see her dance with?
