Josh Hutcherson Falls In Love, Finds Danger In Escobar: Paradise Lost Trailer
Escobar: Paradise Lost stars Josh Hutcherson as a Canadian surfer who falls in love with a woman while visiting Colombia, only to find out his dream girl’s uncle is the infamous and brutal drug lord Pablo Escobar. What began as an idyllic romance becomes a nightmare of escalating violence and danger.
Benicio del Toro plays Escobar, with Hutcherson’s real-life girlfriend Claudia Traisac portraying Maria, Escobar’s niece. The movie is set to open in the United States in January. Check out the trailer below.
Hutcherson, of course, also reprises the role of Peeta Mellark in the upcoming The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, for which he’s been on a press tour. In a recent interview, he expressed his interest in trying cannibalism. “If someone happened to die from natural causes and it was not so taboo… I’m curious” Hutcherson told GQ. “I want to know what it tastes like. Like you want to know what a pigeon tastes like, you know, except it’s a human. We’re all animals.” Indeed.
While it looks like we won’t see Hutcherson dine on human flesh in Escobar: Paradise Lost, it still seems like a gritty and intense film. Check out the trailer below, and tell us what you think.
