Eric Trump Expecting First Child With Wife Lara
Eric Trump and his wife Lara Trump are expecting their first child, a boy due to be born this September.
The businessman, who’s the third oldest child of President Donald Trump, met his wife in 2008 while she was working as an associate producer on the news program “Inside Edition.” The two became engaged in 2013, and wed at his dad’s Mar-a-Go Club in Palm Beach, Florida the following year. Lara, who’s currently in her second trimester, is an avid equestrian and involved in various animal charities. Eric broke the news of his wife’s pregnancy to People, noting, “We found out on my birthday, which was pretty cool.”
Eric and his wife’s baby will be the president’s ninth grandchild, with oldest son Don Jr. and his wife Vanessa having five children, while oldest daughter Ivanka shares three kids with husband Jared Kushner. Eric joined the Trump Organization in 2006, and is currently an executive vice president of development and acquisitions. He previously appeared as a boardroom judge on his father’s reality show, “The Celebrity Apprentice.”
In 2006, Eric established the Eric Trump Foundation, an organization aimed to raise money for sick kids at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Shortly following the announcement of the exciting news, President Trump tweeted, “Congratulations Eric & Lara. Very proud and happy for the two of you!”
