Former Champ Emmitt Smith Tops DWTS: All Stars Premiere (VIDEO)

It’s been nearly six years since Emmitt Smith won the Mirror Ball trophy, but he’s looking like an early favorite — again — on “Dancing with the Stars: All Stars.”

On Monday’s premiere, the former football player and partner Cheryl Burke narrowly out-performed all the other returning contestants with their Cha Cha, scoring a high of 24.5.

“The last dance of the evening and the best,” said the notoriously hard-to-please Len Goodman.

Bruno Tonioli noted that Smith still has “truckloads of charisma,” while Carrie Ann Inaba said he was “born to dance.”

Smith will have serious competition going forward, however, with Gilles Marini scoring just half a point lower, and many of the other stars not far behind.
