Emma Stone ‘SNL’ Monologue About Show Being High School For Her – WATCH VIDEO
Emma Stone opened her “SNL” monologue by saying this was her third time hosting the show. She then said the program was like high school for her and talked about the mean girls like Vanessa Bayer and her fling with Bobby Moynihan, who suggested she make the night like homecoming. See the video below of Stone’s “Saturday Night Live” monologue.
As noted, this is the third time Stone has hosted “Saturday Night Live.” The first time she hosted was in 2010, and Kings of Leon was the musical guest. Stone returned one year later, and Coldplay provided the music. During her 2011 monologue, then-cast member Andy Samberg hung upside down, dressed like Spider-man, and insisted on rehearsing a scene from the movie, which had already wrapped. Eventually, the film’s star Andrew Garfield had to come onstage and handle Samberg.
In addition her hosting gigs, Stone has popped up on “SNL” a number of other times. In 2014, when her then-boyfriend Garfield hosted the program, she interrupted his monologues to offer him tips. Stone also did a skit in that episode that had her and Garfield as themselves, doing a kissing scene for Spider-Man 2. The comedy revolved around how in real-life their kissing is actually awkward and disgusting. And Stone appeared on the show in 2015 in a filmed bit with director J.J. Abrams during which she, Jon Hamm and others had (fake) screen tests for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Stone’s current appearance on “Saturday Night Live” comes in advance of the release next week of La La Land, her latest film with Ryan Gosling. Check out the video below of Stone’s “SNL” monologue in which she talked about how the show is like high school for her.
