Emma Slater And Dancing With The Stars Partner Michael Waltrip Are NOT Dating
Nascar driver Michael Waltrip and his “Dancing With The Stars” partner Emma Slater are NOT “dating,” despite a new report. Gossip Cop looked into the rumor, which began this week in Star, and we’re exclusively reporting that all talk of a romance between the two is completely unfounded.
According to the tabloid’s article, Slater, who is 25, and the 51-year-old Waltrip “have fallen for each other since being paired up for the show in September.” The magazine adds, “Friends says their 26-year age gap has never been a factor.” Star then backs up its premise with bogus quotes from an unnamed source saying things like, “Mike and Emma are joined at the hip,” and despite their age difference, “They share a similar quirky personality.”
The two “make each other laugh,” and Slater “can’t believe how lucky she is to have found someone like Mike,” adds the magazine’s seemingly made-up source, who further notes, “They spend more time together outside of rehearsals than any other couple.”
Again, they are not dating, and Star either has a terrible “Dancing With The Stars” source or once again the outlet prefers to dance around the truth. Regardless, Slater’s rep tells Gossip Cop exclusively that any claims about them being a couple are “completely false,” and explains that the reason “they spend so much time together is because Michael travels every week for races and Emma must be in those cities for rehearsal.” Slater’s spokesperson reiterates they are dancing “partners and friends ONLY.”
