It’s official!

Emily Maynard will be the next star of “The Bachelorette,” ABC confirmed on Tuesday morning.

Maynard, who split from “The Bachelor” Brad Womack after a seven-month engagement, will be the first ever single mom on to star on the show.

Host Chris Harrison said on “Good Morning America” today, “I think she’s America’s sweetheart and I think it will be a home run.”

Filming is expected to begin in March, and the show will premiere sometime in the spring.
