Ellen DeGeneres Recreates Oscar Selfie With Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt And Anna Kendrick – WATCH VIDEO!
Emily Blunt and Anna Kendrick joined Meryl Streep and Ellen DeGeneres as they recreated their famous Oscar selfie Monday on the comedian’s talk show. The original photo, which also included Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Lupita Nyong’o, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and more, went on to become the most shared tweet of all time. But according to DeGeneres, she really just wanted a picture with Streep.
“The selfie that we took at the Oscars,” DeGeneres explained, “the whole idea was that I was going to get a selfie with Meryl. Then everybody else jumped out, and Meryl was barely in the selfie.” Streep joked, “Bradley Cooper, what a hog.” DeGeneres added, “And Lupita Nyong’o’s brother, who jumped in front of Angelina [Jolie].”
The talk show host then suggested that the Into the Woods co-stars pose with her for another selfie, just so Streep could be featured more. “We’ll, keep them back,” said Streep, motioning toward Blunt and Kendrick. But Streep was hilariously blocked again during Degeneres’ second attempt at a selfie with her. “Send me that,” Streep told DeGeneres sarcastically.”
Blunt, Kendrick and Streep also dished about the various vocal warm-ups they used during filming of Into the Woods. Blunt admitted that her husband John Krasiniski had never heard her sing before. “As I was going to the audition he said, ‘Sing it for me.’ And I went ‘no!'” she explained. “He said he’d never seen me so nervous.”
But according to Kendrick, Blunt had nothing to be insecure about: “She’s so British and beautiful. She still looks regal going ‘goo goo gah gah.” Check out the videos below, and tell us what you think!
