Elton John will NOT be singing lullabies to an adopted son

Elton John had wanted to adopt a 14-month-old HIV-infected Ukrainian boy named Lev, who he and his partner David Furnish fell for when they were visiting an orphanage there.
But Yuriy Pavlenko, the minister of Family, Youth and Sports just said “nyet” to it, citing that under Ukrainian law, adopting couples must be married, and the Ukraine doesn’t consider gay unions to be marriages. He also said the singer was too old. According to another Ukrainian law, parents must be 45 or young. John is 62, and Furnish is 46.
