Elton John to support boy he was barred from adopting

Although Elton John couldn’t adopt a 14-month old Ukrainian boy named Lev, who he had met in September at a home for HIV-positive kids, he still wants to support the child.
John was barred from adopting the boy because the singer was too old and unwed, according to Ukrainian law which doesn’t recognize gay marriages.
The singer’s partner David Furnish told the BBC that he and John are going to make sure that Lev and his brother “have the best health care, education and family options available to them.”
