Ellen DeGeneres And Portia De Rossi NOT Renewing Vows To Celebrate Same-Sex Marriage Ruling, Despite Report
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi are NOT renewing their vows to celebrate the Supreme Court’s lifting of the ban on same-sex marriage, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this rumor. We’re told by a source close to the couple there’s no truth to it.
According to RadarOnline, the stars have “suffered many setbacks” during their relationship, but the Supreme Court’s ruling last week making gay marriage legal in all 50 states “brought a new ray of hope to the couple.” The webloid further alleges the pair wants to celebrate the decision by renewing their vows in De Rossi’s hometown in Louisiana.
A so-called “source” is quoted by RadarOnline as saying, “Since the ruling, Ellen has gotten a ton of emails and tweets thanking her and Portia for paving the way for gay marriage to be recognized nationwide. She knows that getting re-married in Louisiana, which has always been a very anti-gay state, would be rubbing it in to some people, but she does not care.”
It should be noted that Gossip Cop has busted RadarOnline numerous times for manufacturing completely made-up stories about DeGeneres and De Rossi. That includes an inaccurate report in May falsely alleging that DeGeneres was being pressured by her wife to quit her daytime talk show.
Just as that story turned out not to be true, a source close to DeGeneres and De Rossi exclusively tells Gossip Cop the webloid’s latest tale is also wrong, and the pair has no plans to renew their vows.
