CLAIM: Ellen DeGeneres And Portia de Rossi Enter “Counseling” To Avoid Split
“Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi are secretly seeing a marriage counselor in a last-ditch bid to save their troubled five-year union,” claims the National Enquirer. According to the tabloid, the pair “decided to seek professional help after they became locked in a vicious cycle, arguing over Ellen’s workaholic ways, girl crushes and lavish spending.”
“Ellen’s relationship with Portia has become toxic,” a so-called “insider” tells the publication. “They fight, they make up and then a few hours later they start lashing out at each other again,” alleges the supposed source. The magazine’s insider continues, “Finally, they agreed to see a therapist to work through their issues. But they both realize counseling is the last step before throwing in the towel.”
Maybe the Enquirer should be throwing in the towel. After all, the outlet keeps publishing the same wrong story over and over again about DeGeneres and de Rossi being on the verge divorce, and it’s embarrassing. It seems the tabloid has sources who seem to know absolutely nothing about the celebrity couple.
These aren’t just shaky rumors. They’re demonstrably false stories. At some point, the publication should move on. For now, however, a source close to the couple exclusively tells Gossip Cop the latest report from the supermarket tabloid is “100 percent false.”
