Portia De Rossi Horseback Riding To Escape Ellen DeGeneres – Real Or Rumor?
Portia de Rossi does NOT use horseback riding as a way to escape from wife Ellen DeGeneres, despite a ridiculous tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this rumor. We’re told it’s “totally made-up.”
According to Star, Rossi’s riding started out as a therapeutic hobby, but it’s turned into the actress’s method of avoiding her supposedly troubled marriage. A so-called “pal” of the couple tells the tabloid, “Portia drives up to the stables several times a week and often when Ellen has a break from filming.” The questionable source adds, “They’re supposed to be working on their marriage, but Portia is never around.”
The tabloid’s entire account, however, is simply wrong. De Rossi doesn’t go horseback riding to escape marital issues, because no such troubles exist. Gossip Cop has corrected Star a countless number of times for trying to create a nonexistent rift between the happily married couple.
We previously busted the tabloid for alleging de Rossi was jealous of DeGeneres’ friendship with Tatum O’Neal. Prior to that, Gossip Cop corrected the magazine for claiming the couple engaged in a heated screaming match at a Hollywood party. We’ve also debunked countless additional reports saying the two were on the brink of divorce.
Much like those previous tall tales, Gossip Cop is assured by a source close to the couple that the tabloid’s horseback riding report is “totally made-up.”
