Ellen DeGeneres Does NOT Having Drinking Problem, Despite Report
Ellen DeGeneres is not being “urged” by loved ones to get help for an alleged drinking problem, despite a wholly untrue report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this inaccurate story, which was published this week in one of the tabs.
According to the National Enquirer, “Ellen’s a big drinker” and Portia de Rossi, Ellen’s mother Betty, and brother Vance have all “urged her to get help for her drinking.” The unreliable magazine adds that DeGeneres has even considered joining Alcoholics Anonymous, but is “afraid that if she attends meetings, she may damage her clean-cut image.”
The Enquirer goes on to claim that DeGeneres loves all kinds of booze, from wine to vodka. A so-called “source” is then quoted as saying, “With the holidays coming, everyone’s worried that Ellen’s drinking could get out of control.” The only thing that’s out of control is how many inaccurate stories the Enquirer has published about DeGeneres.
The tabloid, you’ll recall, has falsely claimed that DeGeneres and de Rossi were having a baby, that the talk show host had a “cancer shocker,” and that she was getting massive plastic surgery before the Oscars. Those and many more reports from the Enquirer have all been proven to be false by Gossip Cop. This latest drinking problem story is no different. A friend of DeGeneres tells Gossip Cop the entire premise of the Enquirer story is “ridiculous.“
