I am a Christian, and I have the right to my beliefs, but I would never in a million years be offended that Ellen or any other gay person is in an ad for a major corporation.

“Christians must now vote with their wallets,”…Not all “Christians” are hate mongers. Thank goodness you are too busy to raise your own kids. Maybe they will learn to be decent human beings who don’t hate for the sake of hate. That is NOT what Jesus taught.

i just don’t see what it matters. ellen stands out as a person and as a celebrity, she is so generous and well-intentioned and peaceful and just lovely, i can’t comprehend how someone can ignore all that and take immense fault with something she is naturally born with! it’s almost 2013 how are we not past this absurd superficial bullshit?

The people against these ads are getting ridiculous. If you’re against gay marriage, fine that’s your choice but ellen is doing nothing but promoting jcp and her show. Nowhere in these ads does she mention being gay or endorse being gay so them calling her out for being gay makes no sense. Ellen is a strong, kind-hearted person who does nothing but help people. this is absolutely ridiculous there are far better things for people to worry about, she isn’t flaunting her sexuality in these commercials so I don’t understand whats wrong. I truly have no problem with someone having their own beliefs. It’s the hypocrites that push their beliefs onto others, like these women, are who I have an issue with. They are all against her because she’s gay. It seems to me that you Christians are not supposed to be so judgmental. Hypocrites!!!!!

Perhaps these so-called ‘million moms’ would rather the spokesperson for JCP was an old, white male who cheats on his wife and has children outside his ‘sacred’ marriage. We all choose our own path, and as long as it’s not about using/abusing the innocents = children and animals, then it’s no ones business!

I’m beginning to believe this 1 million organization are a bunch of crazy women. Where they when the far right wanted to do forced vaginal procedures on women?

I’m also a Christian and would not boycott a company due to a company being represented by a gay person. It is my belief that Jesus was on this earth and walked among every person on this earth without judgement. Therefore I live by that rule as well. I have gay relatives and friends. I may not agree with gay marriage but I love the awesome human beings they are. They may not agree with something in my life and that is fine. Let’s all have more tolerance!

The Bible also says…those without sin cast the first stone. GOD will do the judging not you. Be careful he will judge you and your hate.

I believe One Million Moms needs to look up the meaning of the word Christian. They most definitely do NOT speak for me. I am very much a Christian and I have no problem with Ellen Degeneres or J.C. Penny (aside from the fact that they are way to expensive for me)!

I too am a mom but by NO MEANS PART OF THE 1 MM I love Ellen and all that she stands up for and believes in, she is the most kind hearted loving person on TV this group needs to just back off and be quiet. I myself was a devoted Catholic endoctrined into Christianity at birth,making all 3 sacraments and attending Catholic night school for 8 years. I have choose to stand as a proud Atheist now since I was 20, now at 35 I still feel more free than I ever did. It is okay to hate the religion but you can still love the believer. I believe in unity & equality for all.mankind ,no matter what lifestyle you choose to live. These mothers are the type that I’m sure put the fear of hell into their children instead of teaching universal slavation. To even read this article makes me physically ill ,my heart wraps for Ellen and all the families that have lost their children due to hatred & bullying of children or teens that have commited suicide due to our societies discrimination. A mother should love her child unconditionally no matter what. This needs to stop immediately ,what kind of future is in store for generations to come. OMM are entitled to their bigoted and hate filled opinions, but if they think they are changing minds about where to shop or what television programs to watch they should really think again. If you go on their website and view their so called “successes” they list cancelled television programs that obviously did not have a huge following anyway.
