According to the National Enquirer, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi recently “surprised pals with news that after two years of wedded bliss, they’re finally taking the plunge into parenthood.”

“Insiders” for the magazine say DeGeneres initially thought she was too old to start a family.

But the couple was supposedly heartened by “strong encouragement” from friend Elton John, who recently had a baby via surrogate with partner David Furnish.

The Enquirer even claims DeGeneres and de Rossi have “plans to add a nursery” to their estate in Hidden Valley, California.

However, you shouldn’t expect to see the two with a tyke anytime soon.

When asked whether there was any truth to the adoption rumor, a source close to DeGeneres told Gossip Cop, “Not at all.”
