Westboro Baptist Church to Protest Elizabeth Taylor’s Funeral

Truth rating: 10

The Westboro Baptist Church plans to protest Elizabeth Taylor‘s funeral.

Margie Phelps, the WBC’s lawyer and daughter of leader Fred Phelps, announced the group’s intention on Twitter.

Known for their vile message of “God Hates F*gs” and policy of disturbing the bereaved, the “Church” now intends to disrupt Taylor’s ceremony due to her ardent HIV/AIDS activism and “enabling” of gays.

We’re at a loss for words.

Taylor died early today at 79.

Actually, what they need is for everyone who has ever had a loved one or friend’s funeral protested by these morons, to gather together and smite them down like the vermin that they are. Of course since I personally cannot promote the use of violence against the mentally deficient, I suggest that ever time there is a funeral in any way connected to them, that the rest of the country send protesters to disrupt their funerals. The real abomination here is the fact that they profess to be Christians.

“The real abomination here is the fact that they profess to be Christians.”

I Totally agree Phil, but you know what? Let them do it, something tells me Elizabeth wouldn’t care, because their protest will do nothing but allow people see what mock Christians and vile creatures they really are.

Never. She was a sweet gentle woman who endured some unfair ridicule for a long time. She stood by an equally ridiculed friend and fiercely defended him when almost nobody else would, and she deserves to be laid to rest with some serious affection and dignity. And I already know in my heart that those around her will quietly ensure it. Love to you upon a warm breeze, Ms. Taylor.

Anyone who would protest at someone’s funeral is a worthless piece of trash.
