Elizabeth Banks Putting Young ‘Power Rangers’ Cast “Through Hell”?
Elizabeth Banks is NOT putting the young cast of the upcoming Power Rangers reboot “through hell,” despite a phony tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this story. We’re told there’s “no truth” to it.
Banks plays villain Rita Repulsa alongside a cast of mostly unknown actors in the updated version of the popular ’90s series. And now according to OK!, the accomplished actress is on a “power trip” on the film’s set and looks down on the rest of her cast mates. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid that Banks treats her fresh-faced co-stars “like they’re her acting students,” adding, “She’s making snarky comments about their skills between takes and putting them through hell.”
The magazine’s questionable source adds, “She’s fiercely outspoken and out of her element working with a bunch of newcomers. But she’d better get used to it before she earns a bad rep. She needs to be more patient with people.” Gossip Cop, however, checked in with an on-set source, who exclusively assures us there’s “no truth” to the tabloid’s claim.
Unfortunately, the tabloids have a pattern of falsely painting an actress as being difficult. In fact, we previously busted OK!’s sister publication, the National Enquirer, for alleging that both Lena Dunham and Rebel Wilson were “out-of-control divas” on the set of their respective TV shows. This latest tale about Banks’ supposed Power Rangers “power trip” is equally wrong.
