Black Jeopardy SNL

Elizabeth Banks fared poorly on the game show “Black Jeopardy” on “Saturday Night Live.” In the sketch, Banks played a woman named “Allison,” who competed against two black contestants, Amir and Keeley. See Elizabeth Banks playing “Black Jeopardy” on “SNL” below!

The sketch began with the host of game show (Kenan Thompson) asking Banks’ character Allison, “You know this is “Black Jeopardy,’ right?” Allison explained that she felt qualified to be a contestant because “I dated a black guy once, so I don’t see color…. It’s just ‘Jeopardy’ to me.”

And with that Allison had to answer questions in such categories as “Shaking My Head,” “It Ain’t Like That, “Who’s Try’na,” and “White People.” A number of topical issues were mocked during the game of “Black Jeopardy.” For instance, when given the answer, “They try’na act like Jesus don’t exist,” Keeley correctly asked, “What is Starbucks?” But Allison failed miserably when presented with the answer, “After everything he did, he try’na act like he don’t owe us an explanation.” Allison responded, “Who is Bill Cosby?” The correct answer, however, was “Who is Tom Brady?”

After Allison noted, “It’s just as a white person, I’m not really sure how to answer these questions,” the host mocked her by saying, “Oh, I’m sorry, you’re white? I don’t see color.” She was later asked, “Who Killed Tupac?” Allison replied, “A corrupt justice system that threatens us all.” But while she thought she was giving the “black” response, we learn the real answer is “Tupac is still alive.”

A defeated Allison then said, “I can’t win,” which the host noted was the correct answer and “the blackest thing you’ve said all day.” Watch the video below of Elizabeth Banks playing “Black Jeopardy,” and tell Gossip Cop what you think.
