Elisabeth Hasselbeck Leaving The View?

Is Elisabeth Hasselbeck leaving “The View”?

Just one day after ABC announced the departure of co-host Joy Behar, it’s being reported that Hasselbeck will similarly exit the daytime talk show.

The rumor has not been confirmed.

Gossip Cop reached out to a network spokesperson, who tells us, “Elisabeth Hasselbeck is a valued member of ‘The View’ and has a long term contract.”

Hasselbeck joined the show in 2003, replacing journalist Lisa Ling.

She has sparred with a number of guests during her years on the series, including Bill Maher, whom she grilled for suggesting she be sent to Egypt in exchange for CBS News correspondent Lara Logan, who’d been assaulted while covering that country’s democratic uprising.

We will have updates on Hasselbeck’s status with “The View.”

    I have never hoped soooooo much for a story to be true. She’s awful & in my opinion offers nothing to the scope of the show. Let her land on Fox….would not bother me one tiny little bit…….besides, her fashion sense stinks!!

    I like her too and she doesn’t back down from all the pretentious democrats who mock her constantly, she has opinions and sticks to them, I will miss her! I am an American and her political views are awesome and she doesn’t let people like joy baehar who turned the view to an Obama campaign walk all over her!

    I sure as hell hope so. She’s judgmental. And rude as hell. She always tried to press her immature ass opinions on others and the main reason I don’t watch the view is cause of her .

    Personally I think having a mix of opinions adds to the content of a show called “The View”. Having said that, she was orignially brought in to represent the 20 something demographic and she’s not that demographic anymore (she really represents the conservative demographic now). I’d either keep her and replace Behar with a 20 something, or find a seasoned journalist to replace Behar and get a young smart 20 something to replace Hasselback (and hopefully at least one of them represents at least a moderate conservative).

    Why silence the other side simply because they don’t share your view? If that’s the case everyone should look and act the same. The show is about having different views.

    Sure its about ‘sharing’ views; however, why piggy-back those views with a condenscending attitude? And I think this could possibly be part of the reason for the decline in viewership. Btw, there is a distinct way to express oneself without tipping the scale toward disrespecting another person. Unacceptable.

    I truly hate to see Joy Behar leave, she will definitely be missed. Now, as for Elizabeth Hasselbeck, it’s a joy to see her leave. This woman has an opinion about any and everything. She never shuts up. I turn to ” The View ” everyday, if she’s there I keep turning. I dislike this woman with a passion, what took them so long to kick her butt to the curb. See ya’ Liz !!!!!!!!!

    If what you are saying is true than that has to be the reason Joy is leaving (though doubtful on both accounts).
