Busting bad dish!

Fifty Shades of Grey Author EL James: I Have Two More Books Finished

(NBC)

E L James has turned publishing upside-down in recent months with her best-selling, erotic “Fifty Shades of Grey” trilogy.

Now the author says there’s more where that came from.

James tells USA Today she has two completed novels stashed away.

One of the books is erotic, while the other is described as a “young adult paranormal novel.”

No timetable for either project’s publication has been outlined.

“I’ve got several more good ideas but how do you follow this?” James says, referring to the runaway success of the “Grey” books. “I’ve set the bar quite high in terms of storytelling.”

“Fifty Shades of Grey” and its sequels tell the story of a college student named Anastasia Steele who explores a highly-charged, dominant-submissive relationship with a young billionaire named Christian Grey.

The book, hilariously sent up in a “Saturday Night Live” parody ad, has already been optioned for Hollywood and is generating big casting buzz.

Are you looking forward to reading James’ future books?

I’d hope she’d follow it up with improvement…those novels are dreadful.

  • Lucy

stop talking about this topic already. English is not my first language (or second), and I can write better than her… she’s a bored lady without a decent editor.

  • Satine

I agree with both of you. I would love to see how this novel rates in 200 years. Will they say WTF were they thinking back then, how did that become a best seller?

  • Ahahha

then why are you here? this is a English site

  • Damn Shame

“the other is described as a “young adult paranormal novel”… you mean like the one you stole this entire premise from? twilight fanfiction gone wrong.

  • Jennl34

Wow you guys are very mean!

  • Writer1709

It’s not mean, she abused a fandom base, and did it the easy way by using her fans to get famous, she got rich “plagiarizing” another authors world. A world they spent 5 years outlining and researching and slaving away at writing. She was disrespectful to Meyer and I wish Meyer would take legal action against her.

Her writing is terrible, and people will never know if she is even capable of writing something unique because she published fanfiction, that is something that will follow her for the rest of her life, I think she’ll be considered a joke in the publishing world, if you were a publisher, would you trust her stories? No, of course not, Agents have said so, authors don’t send us your fanfiction stories

  • Lucy

well, I can read, you know *eye roll*

  • Edel

This comment is so dumb I just gave you a ‘like’.

I had never heard of this series until I heard it reviewed on Elaine Charles’ radio show yesterday (www.bookreportradio.com) There is certainly a lot of comment on the web. Perhaps EL James is the new Jane Austin and will be remembered in 200 years as the gentle chronicler of the early 21 st century. On the other hand, perhaps not.

  • Katmariec

MMMM ,,, So what have you guys been writing???? Any BEST SELLERS? I love her books and so does ALLOT OF PEOPLE. kat

  • Maranda

Yes I agree, I never get time to read, but since starting the first book I cant seem to put it down. I really hope she continues to write more books, because if there good as the ones she has wrote I for one would defo by them.

  • Deb

  • Maria

can’t believe i’ve just finished reading the last book in trilogy a couple of hours ago and am feeling so sad as will miss reading them. I’m very sad – I know!!

  • Janetpurvis

This is the first books I’ve ever read and in my opinion nothing can ever top these Forever fiftys

  • viniece juliano

I have just finished all three books if fifty shades and now I’m disppointed there isn’t another one (fourth book) to read…..Perhaps, she (Ms. James) can come up with ideas to create a fouth book somewhere alonfg the way of; Mrs. Grey (ms. Steele) meets another intriging, saductive ,good looking, but not so wealthy man and begins to have feels for him while they are raising their children. I think these books are FANTASTIC!!!!! i NEED ANOTHER ONE.

  • Sharonchase

i agree with you well said

  • Kellye

Fifty Shades is GENIUS! Read the series twice and am sad that there isn’t more! I would her to write follow up, but in Christian’s mind set. Just dying to know what was going through that man’s head through the books. These book are naughty and erotic but that’s what makes then so intriguing. Need more Fifty Shades of f***** up please!!

  • lol

you are a fuckwit you ugly count

  • Misstfrew

i loved the books couldn’t put them down needed more

  • kibby89

If you think that Meyer’s writing is any better you should probably just stay quiet….

  • Bpeyton

Honestly I loved the books. I could not stop reading and I just wish that she would write more about the Christian and Ana maybe more from Christian’s view. She could even dig more into Kate and Elliott. Just so many options.

  • Thcwhat00

Loved them! I would like to read Christians version for sure…. That lil of his mindset in the last book made me realize that I would re-read it all over again just to know what he thought. Great read, twilight without the vampire , adolescent dullness…. Is like to find me a Christian!!!!

  • Kazza1986

Fantastic books well recommended loved from start to finish didn’t want it to end :-) can’t wait for mr greys side plus movie

  • Gillian

i want christians version, and i would read all 3 again with him as the person

  • Haley

Anybody who read these books and said they didn’t like them are liars; quit hating. These were highly addicting, naughty, awesome books that couldn’t be put down and left me wanting so much more in the end. Hats off to Ms. James :) I recommended these books to friends who have all read and loved and finished addicted, wanting more.

the teaser at the end of freed with his version was funny as shit she should write his side

  • Melissa Rivera5

definately i was cracking up it was funny as hell…christians version loved it

  • fan?

There are others characters in the books who’s story has yet to be told. That might be just as fascinating, touching on the Anna and Christian here and there. I bet that those books will be made.

  • Jealous ????

Nick… No need for an improvement just need more. Understandable how as a male your feeling insuperior… But Christian is a fictional character no need to get your panties in a bunch!!!

  • Sheryl

Me too, I felt every emotion their is while reading the Shades trilogy. Now that’s saying something. Let hope she continues the series, yes?

  • Sheryl

Oh Yes!!! you know what i loved in the books, that Ana was turned on by Christian’s bare feet in jeans and no shirt. I love that! Only a sexy man can do that to someone, right? I would love to be Ana just for a day. Who did you picture as Christian? I thought of Ashton Kutcher, lol

  • Charleyjayne1990

i cant believe that people are saying that she has ripped off twilight to be honest i really cant see the comparrison they are two completely different story lines for starters i don’t remember reading that edward is a billionaire dominator…. im beginning to wonder if the people criticising the books have actually read them… i take my hat of to ms james i think she is incredibly talented and an exceptional writer and those who disagree should try reading more than just the blurb :)

  • Candybabe1uk

I’ve just finished reading the last book, I thought they were really good, I hope more are written but for now I intend to start reading them again

  • Meliscent

Just finished the 3rd book, really want one from Christians point of view. These books are addicting. I loved everything about them.

  • Bavleen

whatta fuck r u talking about? her books are the best books ive ever read!!!!

  • Bavleen

her books r way better than what shit the fuckface stephanie meyer wrote so stop bagging her. shes a way better writer than you and she actually tried rather than bagging other people behind their backs

  • Guest

Then you clearly have read no books.

  • Guest

Hello bored housewife who doesn’t have a life. Nice to meet you!

  • Guest

“So do a lot of people” Clearly you’ve got as much grammatical understanding as James does in her so-called ‘books’

  • Guest

Go to your local library and find a REAL book.

  • Disgusted

Oh my god. You guys are all BRAINWASHED. I CAN NOT believe women are into a trilogy based on AN ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP. You have all CLEARLY read not ONE book before buying this trilogy so you have NO FREAKING IDEA what constitutes a decent story.

Also, how ARROGANT of James to state she’s set the bar high! What a JOKE!!!!!!

  • http://www.facebook.com/deyolyn.robinson Deyolyn Robinson

I thoroughly enjoy E L JAMES triology of FIFTY SHADES, i dont agree with folkes saying they were bad writing. I just find those sort of people boring who say that or thet didnt read the books at. It is a well written love story of two people who fell for each other, only that one is an innocent while the other has a troubled past. I hope E L JAMES write more books just like the FIFTY SHADES triology……….

  • Rachel

In the words of Anastasia Steele: “Holy Moses!”… I’m pretty unconvinced that she’s raised the bar for ‘storytelling’. I’ve read toddler books with more plot. I’m not even going to go into how awful the writing is. And to say ‘oh, it started out as a fanfiction’? I’m sorry, but some fanfiction stories are actually good. I understand why people who don’t read often might like this and think it’s well-written (no prior experience of good books to judge against) but good lord, HOW is it possible that this woman even got published? Don’t even get me started on the femininity issues. If a man did half of this in real life, their girlfriends would dump them. Or at least I hope they would because this is what is known as an abusive relationship. Ugh. Anyway. Rest assured: the bar has not been raised, and eventually, when all of this drivel is forgotten, good books can start receiving the attention they deserve again.

  • Nina

So in love with all three book!!! Need more of Fifty Shades of fuck up!!!! Oh how I lovemy Fifty

If you know nothing of the erotic world that this was written about then you would think it was abusive. As you notice Ana Steele realized that she liked some aspects of the lifestyle. If you dont understand the world or have never been curius then this book is not for you. And as for grammer mistakes….Yes there were some but terms and words spoken by someone who is british.
