The real-life love story of Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr could give the “Gossip Girl” characters a run for their money.

After a messy breakup, an attempt at being friends, and a flurry of wrong rumors, the duo has raised eyebrows yet again.

The latest gossip claims the two have reconciled, since they were spotted all over each other at Lollapalooza last weekend.

But reports of full-fledged coupledom are a little premature, Gossip Cop has learned.

“Things are moving in the right direction,” says a source close to Szohr, who acknowledged the pair had problems, but says “they are hanging out,” and working on “moving past it.”

But “things change from week to week,” admits the Szohr confidante.

A pal of Westwick tells Gossip Cop, “They’re hooking up,” but they are still “not [officially] together.”

Friends of both say it’s too early to tell whether they’ll eventually get back together as a couple, but for the time being they are enjoying each other.

So don’t plan on getting anything off a registry anytime soon for these two.
