“Eclipse” Premiere on June 24

Buzz built over the weekend about the upcoming premiere for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. While the movie won’t be released until the end of June, the series’ popularity and the logistics of bringing together the large ensemble cast means Summit Entertainment had to make arrangements far in advance.

Gossip Cop can confirm that the Eclipse premiere will be on June 24 in Los Angeles, as reported.

As for the site, Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood is one of two possible locations.

A rep for Summit confirmed the date but said the location has not yet been finalized, although reps for two of the movie’s stars told Gossip Cop Grauman’s was “the plan.”

We will have more details on the premiere and promotional schedule as Eclipse nears.

    So soon? Now the celebrity machine will be cranked up and anticipation will be stoked that the lead actors will come out about their relationship. Photographers will take thousands of photos of a single moment and “experts” will analyze their body language. I’m annoyed in advance at how my regular TV programming will be punctuated by “news” magazine ads (Extra, ET, etc.) alluding to revealing details of some drama behind the scenes.

    Le sigh. It’s not even a movie at this point – it’s an industry in itself.

    Actually, I mentioned only the insanity that surrounds them, not their relationship itself. But you cannot differentiate between the two because that would take…thought. Your knee jerk reaction to attack anyone who challenges your fantasy life speaks volumes about your capacity for intelligent discourse. I bet you wear a helmet.
