Don't listen to the critics. I saw RM today and it was great. I came out asking those I was with, why did critics pan that? I thought his performance was great. I believe that critics will not give Rob a chance simply because they don't like twilight and are sick of hearing about him. Personally, I can't get enough.

@klue90

Thanks for the screen information, and I agree that it was a wonderful film. I just wish it had been given more opportunity to find an audience. Isn't the number of screens it's showing on part of the marketing package? I know my local cinema was showing RM, but didn't even have a poster (they had four for Green Zone, btw).

@Jenny
Actually I don't blame the marketing for the film. Remember Me opened in 1900 theaters nationwide while Alice in Wonderland opened in over 4000 theaters, including IMAX theaters, and Green Zone opened in over 3500 theaters. Ofcourse theres a huge difference in box office numbers...
BTW Remember Me was a fantastic film. A must see movie of 2010.

This goes to show just how very badly Remember Me was marketed. It got slammed by critics for the ending...why not market it in the first place as a 9/11 love story? Also it was shown in so few theaters compared to this weekend's other releases. The press doesn't look at the per screen average, though, just the box office total.

I half wonder if Summit wanted it to fail so it would make Pattinson cheaper for Breaking Dawn. Throwing 16 million total away is a drop in the bucket compared to the multi-billion Twilight machine.
