Dylan Penn calls out the ridiculous rumors linking her to Robert Pattinson in a new interview. The pair were repeatedly linked by misinformed outlets last year, and she doesn’t hesitate in setting the record straight.

“We’re just friends,” Penn is quoted as telling Vanity Fair Italy. She reportedly continues, “They photographed us in a place where there were other people and cropped the picture. Silly. I laughed about it.”

While Penn’s career is only just now beginning to blossom, the star had a taste of fame from a young age with parents Robin Wright and Sean Penn. “When I was 14, in Cuba, I met Fidel Castro with my dad, and it was really impressive,” she tells the magazine when asked about memorable meetings with celebrities as a child. Penn adds, “And, well, on a totally different level, when I met Justin Timberlake for the first time!”

She also recalls spending two months in Australia when she was 8 years old as her dad filmed The Thin Red Line, an experience she calls “unforgettable.” “Kids my age never left California and here I was, going to school with Aboriginal kids in a dream-like location,” she explains.

But, as Penn learned with the Pattinson speculation, the spotlight focused on her is now a lot brighter. She provocatively posed naked for a risqué magazine spread earlier this year, which did not sit well with her parents. Penn — who poses in lingerie for Vanity Fair — reportedly shares, “They were a bit surprised because I didn’t warn them.”

“‘And my dad said, ‘OK, you reached the limit. You better not go any further,” she says. “I learned my lesson.” In fact, “To be honest, if I could go back, I would not have taken that much clothing off.” “I was a little naïve,” adds the actress-model.
