Dylan O’Brien Rushed To Hospital After Being Run Over By Car On “Maze Runner” Set – See Statement
Dylan O’Brien was rushed to the hospital on Thursday after he was run over by a car on the set of Maze Runner: The Death Cure. A rep for the actor tells Gossip Cop, “He was in an accident… He’ll be all right.”
The incident took place in Canada, where production on the movie began earlier this week. It’s unclear what scene from the book adaptation O’Brien was filming at the time. But apparently something went terribly wrong, leading O’Brien to be run over and rushed to a British Columbia hospital.
In a statement, 20th Century Fox tells Gossip Cop, “Dylan O’Brien was injured yesterday while filming Maze Runner: The Death Cure in Vancouver, Canada. He was immediately transferred to a local hospital for observation and treatment. Production on the film will be shut down while he recovers. Our thoughts go out to Dylan for a full and speedy recovery.”
The extent of O’Brien’s injuries is unclear, and it’s not yet known if this will necessitate changing the movie’s February 2017 release date. The actor is the lead of the dystopian franchise, which is up to its third and final installment. O’Brien is also well-known for his starring role on “Teen Wolf.” He is pictured above at the MTV show’s season premiere party last December.
