Drew Barrymore Talks Wild Past, Baby Olive on “Oprah’s Next Chapter” (VIDEO)

Drew Barrymore opened up about baby Olive and her own tumultuous childhood on Sunday’s episode of “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” telling the host she’s not ashamed about her journey from party girl to wife and mother.

Asked what she’ll tell her daughter about her wild child past, which included drug use, bisexuality and two short-lived marriages, the actress said, “I will absolutely instill in her that you cannot be ashamed of the journey that it took to get where you are.”

Barrymore added, “I will also try to instill in her that I did not have guidance, and that is why I lived my life that way.”

And while her past was certainly rocky, the star told Winfrey, “I had sooo much fun!”

    I enjoyed this interview, it was interesting to hear from Barrymore, about her life, husband and daughter. I recorded this interview because I was at work at DISH when it came on. I used my DISH Hopper to record it so that when I played it back I was able to start watching on my living room TV and then continued watching on my kitchen TV right where I left off. This made getting housework done, much more enjoyable.

    This has been my FAVORITE Oprah interview so far. Drew Barrymore has had her ups and downs in life and I think she has come out a survivor. She owns up to her mistakes and life goes on. I wish her and her family all the best…and hope Olive grows up to look like Drew, because she was just the sweetest child-especially in ET. Thanks Oprah for a great interview!
